WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2022 This wine is consistently one of the best values in the world, and the latest vintage does not disappoint. The aromas enchant, with notes of Nestea Lemon Iced Tea, peach, citrus, lime leaf and honeysuckle. Dry, straight-down-the fairway lime and other citrus flavors follow. The balance is impressive. (Sean P. Sullivan)WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 10/22 Ste. Michelle’s Dry Riesling is a benchmark for the category, lean with scents of lemon and a hint of peach, flavors that are juicy and light, with refreshing acidity for an afternoon sip.

Rich, full-bodied, and mouth-filling, it has ripe, polished tannins, terrific overall balance, and a great finish. (Jeb Dunnuck)JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, November 4, 2021 Aromas of dark plums, dark chocolate, orange zest, sage and spice box. Full-bodied with chewy tannins. Rich, with fruity and dusty character and a firm finish. Better from 2023.RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st May 2022 A blend of fruit from Mount Veeder and the broader Napa Valley AVA, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cab, matured 22 months in 85% new French oak. The wood lends plenty of cedary notes, but there’s also ample cassis, blackberry and plum. In the mouth, this is full-bodied and velvety, without being overly rich or concentrated, with dark chocolate nuances creeping in on the finish.
WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 11/1/2022 The Port, with its luscious texture and black fruits, is impressive and dense. Black fruits are given richness and spice by the spirit and the raisin flavors. With its light structure, it is ready to drink. (Roger Voss)SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jul 31, 2022 Inviting, with plum cake and steeped raisin and plum notes laced with licorice snap and fruitcake accents. There’s a solid spine for support, but this is approachable now. Try decanting or even giving a touch more time in the cellar. Drink now through 2026. 50,000 cases made, 25,000 cases imported. (James Molesworth)WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 10/22 A fresh, schist-driven LBV, this wine’s tannins are accommodating in their softness, but still buzzing with mineral tension and energy. The cherry fruit coasts past the tannins, sweet and pleasing with the acidity of sheep’s milk cheeses.RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 4th Aug 2022 The 2017 Late Bottled Vintage Port is a field blend bottled in 2022 with a bar-top cork and 113 grams per liter of residual sugar after six years in cask. (There will be no 2016 Graham’s LBV.) Elegant in the mid-palate (unlike its sibling, the Dow’s), this also has good structure, but it is a much better balanced wine. The big fruit of this fine vintage shines through, rendering this rather delicious. This has persistence and focus, plus all that tasty fruit. You can’t go wrong. (Mark Squires)

The Castello dei Rampolla 2019 Chianti Classico gives us a textbook rendition of Tuscany’s Sangiovese grape, with the extra brightness, sharpness and crisp acidity that comes naturally. Macerated dark cherry, leather, herbs and baking spices are nicely pushed forward. Impeccable in its balance and overall harmony, the 2018 looks to offer fine drinking over the near and medium term. It is another terrific wine from Negri that points to a bright future. (Antonio Galloni)

RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Sep 2015 The “C” in the 2012 Contrada C stands for Chiappemacine. This is a 1.2 hectare vineyard planted to 80-year-old vines at 550 meters above sea level. The soils here consist of a thin layer of volcanic lava that allows the roots to penetrate the sandy limestone below. This results in a softer wine with a round and plush mouthfeel. Bright berry nuances are followed by pressed rose petal and crushed stone. I would suggest a slightly shorter drinking window for Contrada C. It ages in botte grande for 18 months.SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2015 Open-knit and woodsy up front, with approachable black cherry, licorice string, smoke and sandalwood flavors, featuring supple tannins that firm up on the solid finish. Should develop with decanting or short-term cellaring. Nerello Mascalese. Drink now through 2028. 240 cases made.
