RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Dec 2022 I can’t get enough of the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc O Sole Mio Two Wolves Vineyard from Paul Lato. It’s reminiscent of a Bordeaux Blanc with the aromatics turned way up: white peaches and kiwi are complemented by tones of acacia, fresh green herbs and beeswax. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and mouth coating with seamless acidity and generous flavor layers. It’s got the bass, mid and treble to drink well on its own or pair with a wide range of dishes at the table. This impressive Sauvignon Blanc was grown by Alecia Moore at Two Wolves in Santa Ynez from fruit planted in 2015. It was matured for eight months in concrete, stainless and neutral oak vessels, and 250 cases were made. (Erin Brooks)JD9595 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/29/2022 I love Paul’s Sauvignon Blanc, and his 2021 O Sole Mio Sauvignon Blanc Two Wolves Vineyard is a winner, offering a clean, crisp bouquet of white grapefruit, crushed citrus, white flowers, and honeyed minerality. Beautifully balanced, medium-bodied, and textured, with bright, vibrant acidity, it’s a brilliant effort that will be about as versatile as they come on the dinner table. I would drink bottles over the coming couple of years while the fruit is vibrant and fresh, yet I certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see this have an interesting evolution over the coming decade. (Jeb Dunnuck)VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2022 The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Wolves Vineyard O Sole Mio Two is quite dense and powerful. Lemon confit, dried flower, chamomile and spice are dialed up. Readers will find a serious Sauvignon Blanc that will drink best at the dinner table. Vinification and aging in concrete, where the lees remain in suspension, give the wine much of its textural depth. (Antonio Galloni)

RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Dec 2022 Matured mainly in stainless steel and amphorae, the 2021 Viognier has a delicate perfume of fresh quince, jasmine and almonds. The medium-bodied palate is fresh, gently rounded and layered with detailed fruits and a very long, gently nutty finish. Neither lean nor tropical, it strikes a fine balance that makes it ideal for the table. (Erin Brooks)JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 9/26/2022 Looking first at the 2021 Viognier Central Coast (which is released under the Central Coast label but nevertheless comes all from the estate in Edna Valley), it has a vivid gold hue as well as a great nose of crushed citrus, honeysuckle, and assorted white flower and acacia notes. Medium-bodied, seamless, and elegant, with just a kiss of background toast and brioche, it’s a terrific expression of the variety and well worth seeking out. (Jeb Dunnuck)
WE9494 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2023 The experience of this bottling is deliciously predictable vintage to vintage, serving as a rich and reliable expression of Paso Robles Cab. Aromas of black-cherry compote, caramel and clove remain fresh on the nose. The palate’s smooth tannins wrap lusciously around fudge, more compote and baking-spice flavors, leading into a gingerbread finish. (Matt Kettmann)
SP8989 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2022 Quite ripe, with a gush of plum and boysenberry fruit flavors laced with light anise and violet accents. Friendly, fruit-forward finish. Drink now through 2024. 12,260 cases made. (James Molesworth)
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2022 Ripe and decadently spiced, with concentrated kirsch, dark plum and cola flavors that are well-knit. The plush, creamy finish packs Asian spice notes. Drink now through 2025. 9,885 cases made. (Kim Marcus)WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2022 This is an extremely ripe and bold style of Pinot Noir, showing kirsch, cola, root beer and anise on the nose. The powerful extraction extends to the sip as well, where black cherry, pie crust and vanilla bean flavors sit atop a thick mouthfeel, with a touch of prune on the finish. (Matt Kettmann)
WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023 This is a reliably powerful blend, beginning with aromas of nutty pecan, toasted cocoa, walnut shells and cassis. The palate is viscous and heavy in attention-grabbing ways, offering rich black plum and toasted cocoa flavors. (Matt Kettmann)JD91+91–93 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 9/30/2021 The 2020 Bodyguard is broader and more layered, with lots of currant fruits, chocolate, and spice as well as full-bodied richness, a round, expansive texture, and a great finish. It’s another winner. (Jeb Dunnuck)
WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2022 A light-red hue in the glass, this blend of 42% Grenache, 31% Cinsault, 24% Syrah, 2% Petite Sirah and 1% Counoise starts with aromas of cherry, grenadine, mace, star anise and barrel toast. The palate shows that rugged chaparral spice that made this blend world-famous, alongside dark-raspberry, boysenberry, roasted fennel and anise flavors.

WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 10/1/2022 Crisp aromas of melon, peach and rose petal are doused in an engaging tinge of fresh lime on the nose of this bottling. The palate is very approachable with ripe peach and melon flavors that aren’t shy. (Matt Kettmann)
JD9898 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 9/1/2020 Another magical wine, the 2018 Fracture is based on 100% Syrah brought up in new and used French oak. Deep purple-hued, with beautiful notes of crème de cassis, blackberries, vanilla bean, toasted spices, white flowers, and a hints of charcuterie, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, perfectly integrated oak, a rounded, lush mouthfeel, and a great finish. This unabashedly Paso Robles Syrah brings loads of fruit yet stays balanced, elegant, and is simply a thrill to drink. (Jeb Dunnuck)VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020 Youthful purple. Heady, spice-accented aromas of blackberry, blueberry cherry liqueur and pungent flowers show excellent clarity and energetic lift. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, displaying sharply defined black/blue fruit, violet pastille, cola and exotic spice flavors that turn livelier as the wine opens up. Finishes extremely long, smoky and minerally, with powerful, spicy thrust, a repeating floral note and gently chewy, polished tannins.RP94+94–96+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 6th Feb 2020 A barrel sample of 100% Syrah aging in 65% new French oak, the deep purple-black colored 2018 Fracture has a nose of tar, loamy earth, grilled meats, roasted lamb, rosemary and thyme with loads of violet perfume, mint chocolate and coffee bean aromas — this is already incredibly layered. It’s full-bodied and silky, slowly unfurling to spicy, floral-tinged blue fruits. It has an excellent frame with plush tannins and incredibly surprising freshness, finishing very long and very dense. Around 2,500 cases will be made.
