VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Apr 2020 The 2018 Lorenzo’s Heritage Wine emerges from a block in Teldeschi, one of the most highly regarded sites in Dry Creek and Sonoma more broadly. Inky dark fruit, rose petal, mint and lavender are given an extra kick of energy by veins of bright acidity. Sumptuous and vibrant. the Lorenzo’s is positively stunning from the very first taste.
RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 3rd Jun 2021 The 2019 Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley, aged in 20% new French oak, opens with bright blueberry coulis, lavender, tea leaves and potpourri scents. The medium-bodied palate explodes with perfumed, spiced fruits, softly textured and finishing with an addicting juicy quality. 387 cases were made.SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2022 Seamless, sleek and expressive, with polished cherry, licorice and savory cracked pepper flavors that glide on a silky finish. Drink now through 2029. 387 cases made.JD92+92+ pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021 The 2019 Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley offers a slightly darker, more exotic style in its plum, blueberry, and black cherry-like fruits as well as damp earth, bouquet garni, and toasted spice. It’s another beautifully balanced, elegant wine from Officer, yet there are enough tannins to warrant a year or two of bottle age. (Jeb Dunnuck)
VN8888 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2017 The 2015 Zinfandel Grist, from a rugged hillside site in Dry Creek, has plenty of character, but it also comes across as rustic and rough around the edges, especially in its tannin profile. There is no shortage of depth to the black cherry, plum and lavender flavors. It will be interesting to see if the winemaking team can coax a little more finesse from this site in future vintages.

RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 14th Jul 2022 The medium ruby colored 2019 Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley boasts an alluring mélange of spicy red and black cherries and berries on the nose, plus touches of cracked pepper, potpourri, aniseed and underbrush. The palate is full-bodied, spicy and layered, with grainy tannins and juicy acidity highlighting the spicy accents on the long finish. (Erin Brooks)WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 10/1/2021 From a selection of grower vineyards and blended with 15% Petite Sirah, this is a widely accessible and desirable wine that shows notes of crushed rock and dried herb. Concentrated flavors of blackberry and cherry combine well to offer richness and plenty of reward. (Virginie Boone)
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2023 Vibrant and expressive, with honeysuckle, litsea oil and lemon verbena notes up front, plus a core of citrus and pineapple as well as a hint of beeswax on a supple frame. Delivers generous spicy details that linger on the long, expressive finish. Drink now. 1,465 cases made. (MaryAnn Worobiec)
VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Oct 2019 The 2017 Petite Syrah Lytton Estate is another superb wine from Ridge’s Lytton ranch. Inky dark fruit and expressive savory notes infuse this bombastic, heady Petite with tremendous nuance and surprising freshness. The 2017 is very young at this stage, but it clearly has the structure to age. My impression is that it will be even better once some of the baby fat melts away. Even today, though, the 2017 is superb.RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 6th Feb 2020 The 2017 Petite Sirah Lytton Estate is comprised of 94% Petite Sirah and 6% Zinfandel, aged 12 months in 20% new American oak. Medium to deep ruby, it has a singular nose of candied cherry, violet, loamy earth and ash with white peach, potpourri, earth and oodles of black and blue brambly fruits at the core. Medium to full-bodied, it’s lushly fruited with a mineral vein, firm, chalky-textured tannins and good freshness, finishing long on a savory note.
