VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Jul 2022 Light, vivid orange. Mineral-accented citrus pith, red berry and succulent floral and herb scents, along with a spicy topnote. Chewy and sharply focused in the mouth, offering well-concentrated strawberry, bitter cherry, blood orange, honeysuckle and smoky mineral qualities and a deeper suggestion of nectarine. Densely packed, with the mineral and floral notes carrying through a long, precise finish. (Josh Raynolds)SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2022 A gorgeous, complex rosé, rippling with flavors of cherry, blood orange, spice, potpourri and currant. Ripe, densely packed and creamy, this stays elegant, with impressive harmony and a lovely salted almond note on the long finish. Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Drink now through 2025. 1,500 cases made, 400 cases imported. (Bruce Sanderson)
VN9292 pts. - Vinous - May 2023 Bedrock’s 2022 Rosé Ode to Lulu, a blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah is one of the more complete Rosés readers will come across. Deep and beautifully layered, Ode to Lulu is a complex wine that will be at home either as an aperitif or as a companion at the dinner table. Rich, red-toned fruit, crushed flowers and subtle earthy notes all open effortlessly. (Antonio Galloni)
VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Jul 2022 Limpid orange-pink. Incisive, mineral-tinged aromas of fresh red berries, nectarine and citrus zest are complemented by steadily building floral and succulent herb notes. Silky and energetic on the palate, offering concentrated white peach, strawberry and tangerine flavors that show fine delineation and firm tension. Deepens steadily on a long, mineral-driven finish that leaves a repeating floral note behind. (Josh Raynolds)
JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/2/2022 Savory with dried herbs and pine, the 2019 Mouvèdre Radiant Ridge Vineyard is introspective, with black fruit and freshly turned soil, while the palate is stony and mineral. It is full, but surprisingly more focused than the aromatics might suggest. Much more restrained and with a gorgeous texture, this is an incredible expression that is worth seeking out and drinking over the next 15 years. (Audrey Frick)VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022 The 2019 Mourvèdre Radiant Ridge Vineyard is super-expressive right out of the gate. Inky blue/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, menthol and licorice are front and center. Dried herbs and a kick of black pepper add an exotic flair to the finish. This mid-weight, fleshy Mourvèdre is a real charmer. Best of all, it should drink well with minimal cellaring. The Mourvèdre is one of the highlights in this range from Mike Officer and Carlisle. (Antonio Galloni)
RP9494 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 27th Aug 2015 A blend of 40% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache and 30% Syrah, the 2013 Cote a Cote is a classic Rhone blend from Paso that has lots of blackberry, cassis, ground pepper and damp earth aromatics, full-bodied richness and both good acidity and tannic grip. Showing more complex floral characteristics and chalky minerality with time in the glass, it can be enjoyed now or cellared for a decade.VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2015 Opaque ruby. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, smoky Indian spices, vanilla and minerals. Concentrated but lithe on the palate, offering intense raspberry and bitter cherry flavors underscored by a suave floral note. The spicy quality comes back emphatically on a long, sweet finish framed by slow-building, harmonious tannins.
VN8989 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2021 Inky ruby. Ripe dark fruits and licorice on the nose and in the mouth, along with hints of woodsmoke and cracked pepper. Round and generous in style, showing good depth and a touch of jamminess on the smooth, gently tannic finish.
