VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Jul 2022 Limpid orange. A sharply focused, mineral-accented bouquet evokes fresh red berries and pit fruits, citrus pith and pungent flowers. Silky and penetrating on the palate, offering tangy redcurrant, pomegranate and blood orange flavors and a hint of honeysuckle. The floral note builds steadily through an impressively long, nervy finish that echoes the citrus and mineral notes. (Josh Raynolds)RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 11th Aug 2022 Call it a down year if you must, but the 2021 Cotes de Provence Rose Chateau de Selle remains one of the region’s top wines. Scents of tangerine, peach, crushed stone and lime zest mark the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is plump and juicy, finishing long and layered. The assemblage this year is 55% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Syrah. (Joe Czerwinski)
RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 12th May 2022 The 2021 Rosé (colloquially known as the Estate Rosé, although "Estate" is not on the label) is a blend of 53% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc, and 13% Chardonnay, plus Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir equally dividing the rest. It is near bone dry and comes in at 12.8% alcohol. This report shows a lot of erratic performances in pinks in the difficult 2021 vintage, but the stalwarts are basically getting it right. This is another fine performance in the “basic” Rosé this year, not missing a beat. It has elegance, persistence, good concentration, fine flavor and touch of complexity from the kitchen-sink blend. Under screw cap, this should also hold for a few years, but that’s not exactly the point here. As top pinks go, this is also very reasonably priced. Bargain hunters take note. This is never my favorite of the winery’s endless number of pinks, but it is arguably the best intersection of quality and price. For those who appreciate elegance, it is also one of the more understated. There were 31,500 cases produced.
RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th May 2023 The coppery-hued 2022 Les Cassagnes de la Nerthe Cotes du Rhone Rose features easygoing notes of ripe melon, plus hints of peaches and red berries. Medium-bodied, it’s plump and nicely rounded without being overly broad, remaining clean, refreshing and harmonious on the finish. (Joe Czerwinski)
RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2022 The 2021 Xinomavro Rosé is unoaked, dry and comes in at 13.4% alcohol. This is made from relatively young vines (five to seven years old). The heavy bottle makes it seem important, but the question is: Does the wine hold up? It’s pretty good. It is not a powerful pink, but it does have good concentration and presents a reasonable expression of Xinomavro. It’s even a little earthy. This is a fine choice for a pink to pair with foods. That’s probably its highest and best use. It’s less useful as the one you want to sip all by itself on a porch, but some will certainly like it that way. It is drinking great now, and it should be equally good in the summer of 2023. Beyond that, we’ll see, but it should hold a bit. (Mark Squires)
RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Jun 2023 A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah, sourced from vines planted on clay-limestone soils, the 2022 Cotes de Provence Rose reveals aromas of red berries, spices, peach, watermelon, spring flowers and pomegranate. Medium-bodied and elegantly oaky with a spicy touch, it’s fresh and fruity with a mouthwatering, elegant finish. This rosé benefits from the expertise of the Perrin family. (Yohan Castaing)
RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Jun 2023 A blend of 41% Grenache, 31% Cinsault, 12% Mourvèdre, 8% Tibouren, 5% Syrah and 3% Carignan, the 2022 Cotes de Provence Rose Lampe de Meduse possesses a fresh, fruit-driven bouquet with aromas of citrus, lemon oil, red berries, wild strawberry and menthol. Crunchy, juicy and perfectly balanced with a medium-bodied palate, it’s long and penetrating with lively acids, an iodine-salty finish and a clean and mouthwatering texture. (Yohan Castaing)
RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th May 2023 From an encépagement of 60% Grenache, 18% Cinsault, 12% Clairette and 5% each Mourvèdre and Syrah, Trinquevedel’s 2022 Tavel offers aromas that hint at burnt rubber (decanting will help this), followed by raspberries, peaches and citrus. It’s full-bodied and generous on the palate, with a ripe, silky feel and a lingering finish, so there’s plenty to like here. Just remember to decant. (Joe Czerwinski)

RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Jun 2023 A blend of 60% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache and 20% Cinsault, the 2022 Bandol Rose exhales aromas of red berries, spices, pomegranate, licorice, jasmine and iodine. Tense, juicy, medium-bodied and elegant, it’s long and fresh with a touch of spritzy residual carbon dioxide. This tasty yet perfectly balanced, clean and precise rosé can be aged over the next 2–4 years. (Yohan Castaing)
RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 11th Aug 2022 Just nicely proportioned and harmonious all around, Suffrene’s 2021 Bandol Rose is a slightly coppery flamingo-pink in hue. Juicy, mouthwatering flavors of citrus, pineapple and underripe peach finish silky-smooth, clean and refreshing. Balanced and long, this is a fine effort. (Joe Czerwinski)
RP91+91+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Jun 2023 The 2022 Sancerre Rose Sibylle reveals aromas of spring flowers, ripe red berries, lemon, rose petals and spices with menthol hints. Perfectly balanced, textured, juicy and fresh, it’s nicely tense with a long, mouthwatering finish. Recommended. (Yohan Castaing)
RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Jan 2023 Jorge Monzón considers 2020 to be an almost prefect vintage—cool and fresh, reminiscent of the great 2016. The pink 2020 Pícaro del Águila Clarete was produced with 35% Tempranillo, 35% Albillo Mayor and the rest other local grape varieties (Garnacha, Bobal, Bruñal, Monastrell, Tempranillo Gris, other Albillos, Garnacha Blanca, Pirules, Jaén, Moscatel, Malvasías…) found in the old vineyards. This is very different from your average rosé, more like a serious light red or powerful white that slowly fermented during 11 months and matured in barrel for 18 months. The orange-ish/pink wine is still young and lively, with some notes of toasted sesame seeds and a faint flinty reduction a little à la Coche-Dury, reminiscent of some vintages of their superb white. This was bottled without being racked, and perhaps that’s why it has this nice reduction and could be the finest vintage to date. It has a strong chalky aftertaste from the limestone-rich soils, which makes it a terroir white, but it’s also very marked by the style (which they updated from the traditional wines in Aranda in the old times) of a unique wine. It’s balanced and mellow but not a shy wine, with 14% alcohol and a pH of 3.26. I’ve tasted 15+-year-old bottles of wines of this style, and they were still lively, so this one should not be shorter lived. Unique. Given my experience with past vintages, I’d wait a little before pulling the cork here. 8,358 bottles and 151 magnums produced. It was bottled in February 2022. (Luis Gutiérrez)
