WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023 Reminiscent of a cider press, this is rich and aromatic, the honey-flecked orchard fruit accompanied by candied peach and pineapple, with whispers of something more floral and waxy. Tangy, lemony acidity lifts the creamy texture in the mouth, those stone-fruit and cider-y notes flowing to the finish. There’s certainly sweetness, but it doesn’t dominate. Drink now with a salty blue cheese to balance the confection. (Christina Pickard)
JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, August 9, 2022 A lot of floral delicacy and lemon and lime zest, but also some good white-peach fruit behind those high notes. Good depth on the mid-palate for the challenging vintage, with some wet-stone character at the long, crisp finish. Made from fruit grown on Kueka Lake and Seneca Lake. Drink or hold. Screw cap.WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023 Delicately crafted from one of the Finger Lakes’s best known producers, this opens with a lifted aromas of white peach, lemon-lime and florals, with a honeyed underbelly. The palate is dry with a lofty line of laser-like, lemony acidity and a slightly chalky texture. Crying out flavorful fish dishes like spicy fish tacos or Thai red curry. (Christina Pickard)RP8989 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 12th May 2022 The 2021 Dry Riesling comes in with eight grams per liter of residual sugar, 7.9 of total acidity and 12% alcohol. I haven’t been liking a lot of what I’m seeing from this vintage (to be sure, there haven’t been a lot of examples yet), but this seems awfully nice. Fresh, balanced and lively, this adds a juicy, tense finish, and the fruit occasionally asserts itself. It’s elegant in the mid-palate, dancing across the tongue. I’ll be interested to see if this can hold form or improve in a couple of years, but right now it is a fine choice at a nice price point. Of course, it is a serious Dry Riesling. If you like them sweeter or fruitier, this is not for you. (Mark Squires)
JS9494 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Wednesday, May 12, 2021 Such an expressive nose of white peaches, nectarines, mandarin oranges, white flowers and vanilla. Grows with each swirl of the glass. Intensely mineral and racy palate that feels lighter than it is, because it’s so precise and vibrant, the lime and mineral freshness making the long. dry finish mouthwatering. The first release from David and Paul Hobbs’ riesling project in the Finger Lakes. Drink or hold.SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2021 A fresh, high-pitched style, with pippin apple, fennel and lime pith notes backed by a twinge of slate on the finish. An understated style, but with purity and latent length, showing a sense of precision. Drink now through 2024. 1,847 cases made.

JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, December 11, 2022 Aromas of peaches, apricots and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied and charmingly off-dry. Succulent and fresh with the subtle sweetness adding a bit more depth. Bright acidity too. Drink now. (James Suckling)WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023 Medium gold in color, this is pleasantly aromatic, the floral, honey and orchard fruit notes flowing to a palate that is crisp and tingly, acidity buoying the slippery texture. There’s sweetness, but it’s balanced, with a long floral finish. Drink with a Korean Kimchi or spicy Thai curry. (Christina Pickard)
WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 10/1/2022 Cohesive aromas of black cherry, black plum and tilled earth are lifted by savory accents of dewy herbs and crushed red pepper flakes in this well balanced Cabernet Franc. It shows smooth tannins on the palate that support the juicy berry and plum flavors, with a polish and poise to it all that makes it a delight to drink. (Alexander Peartree)JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, April 28, 2022 Complex nose of herbs, savory notes and redcurrants. Quite a crisp palate, but with plenty of red and black currants. Good depth and healthy tannins are packed into the rather sleek body, together with lively acidity. Drink now.
WS9292 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 06/22 Heron Hill submitted seven rieslings from Ingle—micro-selections of the largest vineyard on Canandaigua Lake. This one is an amalgam from the entire site, a cool, dry place that produces riesling with persistence and drive. Couched in lemon-lime flavors, this has a flinty, saline tang to the texture, the palate focused and lively.RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 12th May 2022 The 2020 Riesling Ingle Vineyard has 8.1 grams per liter of residual sugar, 8.5 of total acidity and 11.4% alcohol. You might note that you can step up from the “Reserve” Riesling to this for an extra $2. Should you? Well, I’d say yes, but reasonable minds might differ. It’s more a matter of style than quality. The Reserve Riesling is deeper and lusher, more approachable now. Many will appreciate that style. This has sharper edges and more power. The juicy finish and the tension serve this well, but don’t think it is just a mindlessly shrill wine. It is in fine balance, with a trace of sugar around the edges. It’s very tasty and almost hard to resist, even as a dry wine, but your mind is definitely saying “this needs time, this needs time” even as you reach for the bottle. I’m impressed. I’m even more interested to see how this might evolve with a few years in the cellar. It has the potential to be even more than it is today. It should age very well. (Mark Squires)JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, December 11, 2022 Aromas of green apples, lime peel and white peaches. Medium-bodied with bright, persistent acidity. A charmer. Drink now.WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 10/1/2022 Juiced peach and guava aromas meet bright lemon iced tea on the nose. It’s perky and zesty on the semidry palate, with a string of lemon honey lingering over juicy peach and apple flavors. (Alexander Peartree)
