WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023 The golden color hints at the richness to come. It’s intensely perfumed with notes of honey, melted butter and pineapple turnover cake. The palate is rich and unctuous, but it never loses its shape, thanks to a laser-like line of acidity, which distracts from the intense sweetness in all the best ways. (Christina Pickard)
WE9595 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2021 Straw-colored with gold reflections, this wine offers aromas of apricot, peach and pear. In the mouth, flavors include honeycomb, Bartlett pear and canned peaches. It finishes with sweetness that is balanced by the ample acidity.RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Oct 2016 Tasted at the Disznóko vertical in London, the 2012 Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos is 100% Furmint in terms of Aszu grapes. It has a more complex bouquet than the 2013 with dried honey, grilled walnut, lanolin and yellow flowers, the kind of nose that seduces you, draws you in. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous opening, spicier than the 2013, although it does not quite deliver the same level of concentration and intensity. It gently fans out towards the finish, although I would like a little more depth to develop, so that there is more presence. Tasted September 2016.
SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Sep 30, 2019 A mouthwatering, off-dry version that explodes with juicy blood orange and nectarine fruit, candied ginger and grapefruit peel notes and ample spice and herb accents. Light- to medium-bodied and expressive, with a long, racy, mineral-laced finish. Furmint, Hárslevelü, Sárga Muskotály and Zéta. Drink now through 2025. 2,917 cases made, 960 cases imported.WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 11/1/2019 Delightfully sweet on entry, this late-harvest wine leads with delicate Mandarin orange, lemon blossom and canned peach aromas. It has flavors of apricot and peach and is velvety smooth on the palate. The finish is pleasant with a good level of acidity to counterbalance the sweetness.
RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 21st Dec 2009 The 2006 MONEMVASIA LIASTOS was sun dried for 15 days and then aged in oak. Relatively light, it is laced with apricot and peach nuances, not particularly syrupy, and not as rich in the palate as the nose promises. It is very tasty, but it does thin fast and the fruit acquires a dried apricot nuance with air and warmth. The intense aromatics were its best feature. Drink now–2015.SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2010 A rich dessert-style white, with plenty of buttercream, maple and ripe pear flavors. The long finish echoes smoke and spice. Drink now through 2016. 500 cases made.
SP9797 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2014 White peach, pineapple, white ginger, orange zest and green fig notes are clear and racy, while green almond, brioche, pear and yellow apple details wait in reserve. Offers stunning range and polish, showing terrific energy and cut on the finish. This just makes you feel special when you drink it. An estate that has been rising steadily for a while now. Best from 2016 through 2035. 2,915 cases made.RP94+94–96 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 25th Apr 2012 To be honest, I expected the 2011 Coutet to come rushing out of the blocks like Doisy-Daene; however it is not playing that game. Instead, it is almost Zen-like upon first acquaintance before revealing its life-affirming mineral aromas and traces of apricot and white peach that remain very subtle and yet tangibly there. The palate is medium-bodied with exceptional balance. There is a real sense of synergy between component parts; nothing out of place, everything focused and succinctly composed, with its trademark sense of thrilling tension on the finish. This is sheer class and a classic Coutet to add to the canon of great recent vintages. Drink 2014–2035.ST93+93–96 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Jul/Aug 2012 Pale yellow-gold. Pure, high-toned aromas of apricot, honey, marzipan and sweet spices. A firm core of acidity and strong spice character give verve and definition to the very sweet apricot, peach nectar and marzipan flavors. This very racy and delineated wine boasts excellent intensity to its juicy flavors and finishes very long, rich and spicy, with smooth if assertive tannins. Very Barsac in style.
JD9999 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 6/14/2019 The 2016 Chateau D’Yquem is pure magic and dessert wines don’t get much better. Offering a pale gold color as well as a blockbuster bouquet of honeyed tangerines, tart apricots, liquid rocks, white flowers, and honeysuckle, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, an opulent texture, vibrant acidity, and again, an incredible sense of minerality, despite having no shortage of sweetness or richness. The 2016 is a classic blend of 75% Sémillon and 25% Sauvignon that hit 14.2% alcohol with 135 grams of residual sugar. It’s already complex and approachable yet will keep for 3–4 decades. (Jeb Dunnuck)JS9999 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, December 3, 2019 A very classic Yquem. Breathtakingly wide spectrum of floral honey, exotic fruit (passion fruit, mango and pineapple), caramel and marzipan aromas. But none of this is a jot too much. In fact, the wine is extremely precise and finely nuanced. Wonderful freshness and textural complexity, in spite of the considerable concentration and extravagance. Very suave and sensual finish that goes on and on. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)RP98+98+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Mar 2019 Containing 135 grams per liter of residual sugar, the pale lemon-gold colored 2016 d’Yquem leaps from the glass with honeyed apricots, pineapple, green mango, crushed rocks, candied ginger, coriander seed and citrus peel with hints of orange blossom. The palate is very tightly wound, vibrant and refreshing with layer upon layer of minerals and spices, finishing with epic poise and persistence. (Lisa Perrotti-Brown)

ST94+94+ pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2006 Full yellow. Captivating aromas of orange peel, minerals and honey, with sweaty suggestions of vineyard peach and cumin. Wonderfully bracing and precise, with great penetration and cut to its flavors of mandarin orange, powdered stone and graphite. The tactile finish suggests dusty dry extract more than it does tannins. A very Germanic style of late-harvest wine, with an exhilarating purity to its botrytis and an impression of strong tartaric acidity. This is 9% alcohol, with 97 grams of residual sugar.SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2006 Fresh, even racy, with grapefruit, lemon and honey aromas and flavors matched to an elegant profile. Still tightly wound, with a vivid structure. Needs time to open and gain complexity. Best from 2009 through 2020. 300 cases made.
SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 15, 2021 Intense, this sweet style delivers honey, caramel, roasted almond and spice aromas and flavors, leaving a light layer of tannins on the tactile finish. Drink now through 2030. 350 cases made, 200 cases imported.VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2021 The 2015 Vinsanto del Chianti Classico offers lovely density in an understated, mid-weight style that is quite appealing. Spice, orange peel, hazelnut, dried flowers and light caramel notes all grace this creamy Vin Santo from Volpaia. The 2015 is very nicely done.
